Saturday night ended in a psychedelic touch, thanks to the music of Tiny Fingers playing on the Main Stage, and the Alternative Stage viewers were able to enjoy the incredible music of three French bands: Chassol, Festen and Ours Samplus. If the first night the audience was introduced into the atmosphere by Shai Maestro Trio and later on hypnotized by Marcus Miller, on Friday was the turn of bands like Ghost-Note or Malox to make the crowd move with their energy. Jazz in the Park has been noted since the first edition for the warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere, but also for the strong connection between the artists and their audience. The audience that came to Central Park enjoyed some memorable concerts, applauding for minutes on end the big names of the genre, including Ghost-Note (US), Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio (US), Judith Hill (US), Shai Maestro Trio (IL), Chassol (FR), Tiny Fingers (IL), Festen (FR), Ours Samplus (FR) Hristo Yotsov: Jazz Cats (BG), Malox (IL) and Kosmic Blues (RO). This year’s edition had, undoubtedly, the best lineup in the history of the festival. Know that they helped us!Īlin Vaida, executive director of Jazz in the Park. Thanks everyone for all the kind words that we received during these four days. We gave everything I could for this event to happen and the results were there. Almost all praised the positive energy of the place, the music diversity and the accessibility of the event. We found a large number of foreigners come to the event and we received very good feedback from the bands. Their joy charged us a lot and gave us the energy to work for four days continuously. We also managed to deliver a festival lineup and content that was very well received by the public since day one. I think there have been a good energy coming from the whole team during the event. I am excited about how my colleagues mobilized themselves and each other and about the dynamics that we had this year. We needed to deliver a successful edition, especially because of the conditions we had to face last year, when it rained nine days out of 11.

I am pleased with how the seventh edition of the festival came out. The festival registered an attendance record right from the opening day, when more than 26,000 people filled the park for the duration of the day and more than 8,000 people watched enthusiastically the concert held on the Main Stage by bassist Marcus Miller (US). Throughout the festival, more than 100,000 people attended both concerts of jazz and the various activities prepared by the organizers and their partners.

The seventh edition of Jazz in the Park ended yesterday evening after four extraordinary days when over 30 bands from around the world have got on the four stages located in Central Park, Cluj-Napoca, during the weekend (4-7 July).
